Highlights of 2025
In 2025 I…
-
had the busiest year so far with 25 concerts of which 7 were premieres.
-
am very grateful for the premiere of Helios – Concerto for Organ and Symphonic Wind Band at the Helsinki Festival 2025. It was an extraordinary event with stellar performance by Jan Lehtola and the Guards Band conducted by Petri Komulainen. I’m very grateful for having the opportunity to have such a fantastic debut at the Helsinki Festival. This is what dreams are made of!
-
had absolutely wonderful time at Silence Festival where Olotiloja, a work we created in close collaboration with the circus artist Aino Savolainen had its premiere. What a beautiful and strong presence it had! Left me filled with the magic of the North.
-
had a dream come true moment, with TampereRaw and Anna Kuvaja at Tampere Hall where I held my very first profile concert. The evening was filled with Finnish premieres: Each Breath, Marianne Järvinen, flute, Island, Maija Wesslund, violin and in the universe everyth ng is a circle, Mikko Raasakka, contrabass clarinet. The highlight of the evening was the premiere of my new piano concerto Pathways, which was wonderfully interpreted by Anna Kuvaja and TampereRaw, conducted by Maria Itkonen You may find a review by Jari Juhani Kallio
-
can’t believe I had a debut at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie! Katrina Paula Felsberga and Zafraan Ensemble, cond. Miguel Perez Iñesta premiered Gludi galvu saglaudīju among 10 other songs as a celebration of Luciano Berio 100 years.
